Preparation of the construction site of the ethane gas complex in Ust-Luga

Site preparation works for the construction of the ethane gas complex in Ust-Luga settlement

At the present moment the unfit soil is being excavated and removed, grubbing is in progress, the base for the embankment is being prepared and the embankment is being filled with sand with layer-by-layer compaction.

The work on the site involves 25 units of machinery; the company has built its own dormitory for the workers.

The planned scope of soil development at the site is more than 900,000 cubic meters.

The work is due to be completed by the 4th quarter of 2023.

Facilities construction at Salmanovskoye oil and gas condensate deposit, October 2019 - present

Project customer: Nova

In October 2019 TransStroy LLC started construction of facilities as part of the Salmanovskoye field development.

Soil excavated in the quarry and transported to the backfill site - over 750,000 m³
Site backfill with layer-by-layer compaction - more than 750,000 m³
Thermal insulation layer installed - more than 200,000 m²

In the planning period 2019-2023, 14 sites are to be built, with a total volume of 1,300,000 m³ of different soil categories.

The engineering of construction projects in this field is a promising area for the company.

The climate of the construction area is severely continental with harsh and prolonged winters.Nevertheless, all conditions have been created for employees to live and work comfortably in the Far North conditions.

The company is using state-of-the-art equipment and machinery on the site. The number of staff involved in construction and assembly work and living in an autonomous wagon camp exceeds 100 people. More than 50 units of equipment are involved in backfilling of sites, well pads, wells and access roads.

Work is carried out in a two-shift mode.

OFFSHORE SUPERFACILITY CONSTRUCTION YARD. COASTAL AREA VERTICAL PLANNING, SLOPE RESHAPING, ROCK EXCAVATION

Vertical levelling of the coastal area with slope reshaping to increase stability and rock excavation in layers of up to 15 m.

The total excavation volume is more than 12,000,000 m³.

Digging and hauling up to 8,000,000 m³ of rock a day.

The machines and equipment involved:

Volvo and Terex articulated dump trucks;

Scania and Tatra carrier dump trucks;

Volvo and Cat excavators with rock buckets;

CAT bulldozers;

Sandvik crusher plant.

Height difference during excavation - up to 60 metres.

The coastal areas have a complex rocky surface with a sharply rugged profile.

The climatic conditions of the OSCY construction area are a sub-arctic zone of the European part of the Russian Federation.

Mechanised excavation for the construction of an apartment building and an educational facility

Work performed:
Mechanised excavation with dewatering, loading onto dump trucks and hauling to a landfill - 95,000 m³.
Dismantling of underground structures of technogenic nature. Manual reclamation of soil between piles.
